Education, Training, and learning
The permanent and positive change in behavior is called education, or the search of truth is called education, while Islamic Philosopher said” The building of character and manners in a person is called Education”.
The enhancement of abilities and maturity in thoughts' is called learning, we learn so many things including Good things and inappropriate things, but we cannot call it education, because it’s just learning' not education.
Other hands, training is the strategy, through which we can develop our wanted behaviors and delete the unwanted behaviors, its depend upon the training perspectives because the policeman got training to catch the thieves, while the thieves got training to hide from the police.
.Introduction:
I have seen in the walls of our countries, where the schools advertised, and write them down the words as: “We have a comprehensive system of learning, training, and education”, but I am shocked to see their system having no education at all because the teachers teaching the students, they call them the names, they treat them with rude behavior.
How we can say these schools are educating the kids of the nation, they are just made them trained to pass the papers, earn the reputation for school, which would enhance the student flow towards school.
The learning capacity of the students is minimizing with a manner to selective studies based on examination guess papers. The teachers do not know about the curriculum development, teaching plans, motivation strategy, how we can expect a good nation.
Directorate of Education:
We have visited a Directorate of Education several days before for our personnel work, but the watchman was not allowing our vehicle inside the premises of Education's Directorate because the Director of Education has instructed him to not allow the peoples, whose are coming to meet him.
The transfer posting is the only function of the directorate because this is the way, through which they can loot the teachers, otherwise, they have nothing to do.
The educational planners are looking busy in search of the way to loot money, then what will be the product of that institution, we run education under these planners. Our Govt is wasting the educational budget on these types of ghost activists, who’s just have the plan to loot the money from PTC funds, development funds, ghost teachers having no teaching spell but collect the salaries from Govt and these culprits are supporting them partnering in their salaries just.
PTCs Funds utilization in Govt schools:
I am a chairman of our school Parent-teacher Council (PTC), prior to my selection on this position, there was a boy having no education, just he has learned to take signature being a chairman. All the Govt schools having PTCs but their chairman and member have recorded by the head-teacher in papers and taking signatures fake resolutions and adjust the money, which is taking by the DEO, SDEO, ADI, DDEO, all other players in District Education Department, the remaining amounts are taking by the head-teachers and no development work come up in schools. These are culprits of the Education sector, which are not promoting education, but just looted the education budget, which is load just load on the nation, with no fruitful functions.
Mismanagement of Education department:
One teacher of my school has transferred to another school having only six classrooms and 13 teachers, means 7 teachers are already surplus in that school, while we have six classrooms with the student’s strengths of 250, needed 6 plus teacher, and our reaming teachers after transferring the said teacher becomes 3 just.
As, I am a professional educationist, and working with the development and social sector, and always dealing with school management committees called PTCs and teachers training. I have full knowledge about the school management and fund utilization procedures, but the management blamed that teacher, that he has provided the information, about the ill activities of the Tehsil Administration, to the chairman of PTC, that’s why they have promoted him to grade 14, and transferred him to the school having no need to teachers.
While they promoted several teachers from the said cadre and kept them in the same school to entertain their duties. The teacher belongs to my school, has transferred, because we have allowed no monthly to the said management.
A female teacher punished:
One of my friends asked me to arrange for his sister's transfer' to her home-town because she is traveling 70 KM daily from one side and vice versa. As, her father is ex-Headmaster of High school, but the peoples in Education department have some conflicts with that headmaster, because he is not bias and politicize person, but the said official having affiliations with political parties, whose are working in the interest of the political parties only, and all peoples have got affiliated with them, they got a transfer to their respective native land, but the one who has not affiliated with them, cannot get transfer to the hometown.
The Director of Education himself belongs to a religious-political party, he is giving favors to his own party worker. This is our future and future planners, mind it to bridge the gaps for development, otherwise, the status-qua will maintain with darkness.
Conclusion
I conclude that,
1. The Govt of Pakistan should demolish the education department, the Head-teachers of the school should empower to take their administrative decision.
2. All old teachers having no master qualification must be detached from education on a golden handshake, and new Head Master in grade 17 should be appointed in each school, and give them the powers to deal with the management.
3. The Provincial office should maintain to take the curriculum planning, teachers' arrangements, as per the demand of the school’s Head Master, but their size should be minimized to this said task.
4. The buildings, the vehicles, the fuels, and other expenses of the education department will save, that money can be utilized in new school buildings for the schools having no building, and they are running their schools in rented buildings.
