The Internal Assessment:

If we conducted the assessment of an organization, we will come to know the strengths and weakness of the said organization, but it is important to consider that, every organization have some strengths and also having weaknesses because the perfection is not possible, every successful organization will have some weaknesses, which could come up through assessment process, and SWOT analysis will peel up the strengths and weaknesses internally and externally will show the opportunities and threats but the SMART process will be an exercise to find out the gaps of an organization.

A verses of the Holly Quran

Introduction:

To understand the process of internal assessment, we will try to learn about the assessment process, so we will define the assessment process first then will move towards the internal assessment to know the internal gaps.

          What is assessment?

The data collecting process through which we can identify and verify the problem is called assessment or what is the difference between, what is and what should be? is called assessment.

For these various purposes, we have to develop the standards for making a comparison. The mission statement of an organization would provide the basis for constructing objectives and strategies. The strategies and objectives established' with the intention of observation upon the internal strengths and overcoming the weaknesses. The internal analysis would come up through internal observations, interviews of the internal staff one by one, brainstorming of the internal masses will show their personal issues and administration issues, the manager should ask the organizational issues in priority, and write-down the personal issues of the employees, then interlink all the data and guess the probabilities on certain corners. Sometimes the internal issues cause to effect the organizational objectives because the employees willingly or unwillingly lose their dedication and devotion.

Key Internal forces of an organization

If we supposed the internal departments of a hospital, including Financial management system, marketing strategies, information management system, the support of the medical professional including medical service, Nursing services, hygienical conditions of the hospital environment, provided to the clients can be the strengths and weaknesses of the hospital. The external factors may include the opportunities, such as the patient flow, location of the hospital, attraction of masses towards the hospital, which does not depend upon the services, but also consider the way of dealing with the staff with clients, and sometimes these services become the threats rather than opportunities.

The sub-areas of these functions may also consider, as customer services system including the cleanliness of the hospital, Guidance help system of the hospital for the patients, the room services, the test facilities inside the hospital, the rehabilitation services after surgeries for recoveries from the hospital, such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, psycho-social support of the patients and their attendance.

Every department of the hospital will have strengths and weaknesses. The specialty of the hospital, which makes it distinctions from its competitors in the market. Sometimes the strengths cannot match with the competitors, that's called distinctive competencies.

The innovative methods of dealing, the assessment process of the patients, services provided by the nursing staff, the cleanliness of the hospital, etc. The service has provided to the patients, the administration may ask about the service from clients and got their comments and the specific suggestions, which will lead to the ownership of the customer' towards the organization because the customer is the ultimate boss of the organization, who paid the organization, obviously, their suggestions will be merits' for the development of the organization.

The strategies may design to convert the weaknesses of the organization towards its strength, such as an enhancement of cleanliness of the hospital to ensure the hygiene of the hospital and also the display of the hospital with an innovative way to do.

When we are calculating the internal assessment of the hospital, then we have to gather information about the operational strategies, the critical information collected from the internal masses and several are collecting from outside of the organization when the management asking from the patients, who attended the hospital. It may arrange the information data with priorities regarding the client's perspective and the owner's strategic objectives to establish the system.

This process may develop the priority list of 20-25 and the most important will do first, the most important will consider the financial arrangement for the accomplishment of the said priorities. The Manager is trying to develop the priority based on cost-effective, that can manage with expenses already going on or plus-minus with minute affects. As the said strategy implemented and showed the results, this will motivate the owner towards innovative ideas of the manager, then it will ease the implementation of the entire list.

Conclusion:

I am concluding:

  1. The Manager should further prioritize the long-list of priorities with its effectiveness of merit and also cost-effectiveness basis.
  2. The cost-effectiveness will lead to ease in the entire implementation of the long-list.
  3.  The most understood actions, which can definitely gain profits and benefits immediately, should implement on top-priority.
